For my first painting I painted a fox/pear squishmallow. With this object study I learned how to blend with oil paints. Since this was my first oil painting it was difficult to learn how the paint is used, compared to acrylic. It was also hard for me to understand the proportions and how to make it look like the plush is sitting. I'm happy with how the blending turned out and I think it looks really nice and smooth.

This still life painting was of a pink jar, gold ornaments, and a pearl beaded necklace. One thing I struggled with in this painting was leaving the parts on the ornaments and jar not totally blended, as blending feels more realistic to me. My favorite part of this painting is the beads on the necklace, I really like how it came together.

For my painting of choice I chose to do a picture of a flower I took in Photography 1. I struggled with the time limit I had for this painting but I think it came out well in the end. It was hard to make the flower petals stand out from one another but I like how everything is blended well together. Another thing I struggled with was color, matching the colors to the photo and making it look realistic. Overall, I think this painting came together well and looks like a realistic flower.
